IGT Vision main door issue

Good morning,
Have error Please Close Main Door. I swapped both contacts from a working machine, no change. Swapped belly door switches and replaced varta and coin battery, also no change. Not sure what to do next?

I just noticed the top monitor coin battery is dead. I don’t have a replacement here. Could that be the problem?

Not normally the monitor battery cr2032. Most likely a board problem associated with the varta battery. If it ever leaked it eats the traces. Usually gives 2 errors

Is it 500 series or enhanced? You can use S2000  or Reel Touch as long as the look the same.

I’ll look for a board that looks the same and try it. My top monitor battery is a BR2335. Is that wrong?

Most use 2032 the 2335 is larger in size but the same voltage. Might be harder to find any 3v  lithium should technically  work. Stick to thicker ones since the 2335 if fairly thick.

"Please close main door" is usually only there after a reset. Like hold test button for three seconds, then please close main door. The message from a bad board is usually "main door open" "bv door open" This is making me thing the optics have been bypassed. You changed the battery which would having you turn the key a few times then push button, then close door without machine seeing it closed. I have never had to do it, but there should be a test in options for door optics like the S+ has.

Just turn the jackpot key 3 or 4 times and close the main door

I have turned the key and pressed the test button. Closed the door but it says Please close main door I have done it a few times no changes

Either bypass the door optics or check for a broken wire. Possibly at door hinge. Follow wiring from cabinet optic to MB. Check all connections at MB. Unplug and reseat all.

I have seen and had broken optic wires on the door side at the slide handle.

Turns out it was the MPU.  Replaced it with a new 502 board and it works great.  Thanks for all the helpful advice.

The green is metal oxidization...never good esp with those Varta batteries.  :(
