I have finally bitten the bullet and accepted that I have to start using LCD monitors. Have lots of experience with CRTs. Have a couple of unknown condition Wells-Gardner door mount 17" monitors for Game King. Fired the first one up yesterday and it came up and worked beautifully. Fired it up today and all I get is white screen. Difference from yesterday is that yesterday ambient temp was about 60 deg and today closer to 40 deg. Let it stay on for about 20 minutes. Cycled power and it came up and worked. Now I am afraid to turn it off. The other LCD (same vendor) also came up with a white screen but after letting it run for over 1/2 hr remained a white screen even after cycling power. So I let it run for over and hour and also brought the ambient temp up to about 60 deg and it still was white screen until I cycled power. After cycling power it works. When the monitor is not working (white screen) the green LED on the control panel is blinking. Light is solid green when working. These run off a separate commercial 12V Supply. Any thoughts on what is going on? Is this to be expected under "cold" conditions? Or is it indicative of something that is temp related going out (like caps)? Appreciate any suggestions.
