I pm'd Brian here on NLG when I got the package in early December 2018 and he answered back on Dec 14 acknowledging the mistake and said he'd take care of it, that he had another machine he could send me replacement parts from. Below is the pm Brian sent me on Dec 14. In it he mentions that the box was improperly packed by his wife.

Also below is the tracking history of the package from pickup at Rocky Mountain Slots to delivery to me. You can check the tracking number on the shipping label against the tracking history posted in photos, it's the same.

shipping label closeup-

Keep in mind this happened back in December, 3 months ago. I messaged Brian many times between then and now, asking him to work this out, but I never received the replacement parts he said he'd send in his Dec 14 pm. And before I started this thread I pm'd Brian again, saying that unless I heard from him I'd post the story and photos, the same photos I'd already sent to him, so he knew all this and still didn't work it out with me. I didn't want someone else to have the problem I had, I've always believed that one of the main things NLG stood for was to help each other avoid problems like this.

I have lifelong friends too, but when they make a mistake I'm honest with them about it being a mistake that they are responsible for.

.....I am NOT not taking one-sided another. But I too have had overzealous customers. Threaten me with the better business bureau charge-backs and lawsuits over shit I never did.
Just my 2 cents... Joeylc

I didn't make a threat about the BBB or a lawsuit. I haven't called the BBB to make a complaint. What I said was my credit card rep said THEY would look into any complaint history against RM Slots by checking with the BBB and other places. That's what they do to see if there's any validity to my claim of improper shipment of goods purchased with the credit card. They have the photos of the box RM Slots shipped the parts in and they'll see if RM Slots wants to give an explanation. And they will see if other people have had problems with the business by looking at the BBB file. Everyone has a phone with a camera now, it isn't hard to document a problem like this.

.....I would suggest taking a picture of the original shipping label attached to the box to verify. This is the box it was shipped in.
The weight and the dimensions of the box should be recorded online with the UPS tracking number.
... Joeylc

According to the US Post Office shipping label on the box the weight of the package was 25 pounds. The HD website says the box is a HD "Medium" moving box and it cost $1.38. Their website says the dimensions of the box are 18x18x16. They also say on their website that this box is NOT intended for shipping, for that they recommend using their Heavy-Duty box.

Timeline for those that want to believe I'm somehow out of line or full of sh*t on this:

I checked my credit card statement, I made payment for this parts order on October 24, 2018. October 24th!  It was finally shipped on December 6th. I received it on Dec 10th, damaged. I contacted Brian and on Dec 14 he replied (see above post) and said he would ship replacement parts to me and pack them himself. That never happened. After numerous attempts to work this out with Brian I posted this thread on March 8th.

That's almost 5 months after I made payment. Tell me how I've not been patient or attempted to give RM Slots every chance to fix this?

Maybe one of the people that know him personally will contact him for you as a middle man or go between. Some where some how this happened. We don’t know who packed the box, or should I say put the parts in a box to be shipped. I’ve only had one business deal with him and it went smooth.. That’s my personal experience with RMS.. Wish I knew Brian better, or I would contact him. I just received a piece of glass for an old Bally E-Series today from Scott Bennett. Dang box said glass on the stickers, but the USPO still managed to put a fist size hole in the box. Thank goodness that Scott had about 6” of bubble wrap around the glass. That’s the only thing that saved it.
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

You’re definitely NOT out of line on this.  Getting strung along day after day and only hearing crickets will push anyone over the edge when it comes to your hard-earned money.  All things considered, you’re doing the right thing involving anyone that can help resolve the situation.

Brian, you've had from Dec 14 until now to make good on your word to send the replacement parts. I got nothing but excuses and delays from you all along the way. I did nothing wrong in warning others about your poor customer service and failures to fulfill your obligation after all of this time.

If you can prove that anything I've posted is a lie or not correct, or that the photos of the badly-packed parts box I received from Rocky Mountain Slots are fake then do it. Tell us your version of what happened on this. Everyone here that wants to believe in you wants to know what happened on this and why. Your close friend Joey and others have stated that this doesn't add up, you are not this type of person. Yet it did happen.

This whole mess is so silly because it is about a handful of relatively low-cost older parts. Your actions are what tarnished your reputation. I've bought items from you in the past and those deals were fine. But this deal went south and you never made it right. I still believe you were not at fault for the sh**ty packing of the damaged parts box I got, but you did not keep your word when you said on Dec 14 that you'd get replacement parts sent to me. How would you like to order & pay for something for your shop, get a message saying the order was in process, then nothing arrives for over 3 months?

Actually - we don't want to hear this.

We have a thread for buyer beware but NLG is not a place to debate grievances and is not a dispute mediator.
We are a forum to exchange helpful advice to other slot/arcade/pin/game enthusiasts.
This thread takes us down a rat hole.

It is understood that we have two parties that are not happy with each other.
Now please take it off line and lets keep this a civil, PG friendly, environment focused on helpful exchanges.
