Ballys S5500 7's ? Bars
« on: April 05, 2020, 04:46:29 PM »
Ok guys new questions I have a "7's ? Bars" machine that had #1 reel that wasn't working so I took the MPU out of my "Triple Roses" machine just to see if the MPU was the problem and found out it is because the 7's works perfect which is great news. So I just need a new board or get this refurbed. Now my next question is the U18 and U20 are #8347 hand written on the non working 7's board so I'm figuring this machine was used for tokens and paid out extremly high since OEM goes to #8344? What do you think?
Question 2 when I changed the boards I noticed the payout range is different than the glass and I'm figuring it's paying out "Triple Rose" payout? Am i right? If so when I get the  board refurbed or new board how does it know what payout structure to go by? do I need a certain chip off the old board so it knows what machine?
3rd Question is there test mode so you can run through the payout sequence to know its paying out properly I did not see that type of test in the manual?
4th question what type of soldering iron and tools does everyone use to do circuit board solder? So far doing the battery soldering kind of sucks I don't want to ruin other parts on a board from over heating them. So far 2 slots out of 11 working lol lovin it! For know thats about it but there will be more questions to follow.

Use 63/37 solder on boards, less chance of destroying a trace.
I sell S5500 boards on my website, also have a board tester for them, all spare parts to support repairs, and batteries we know how to solder in.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

To confirm the payout,  you need to run Test#10. It's on 2-30 or so of the manual.
