Looking for help with a Bally E2000 Progressive system board.

I am working on a Bally E2308 with a progressive jackpot. This machine has a progressive jackpot on the third coin played, on the top 3 jackpots. The machine has the display, but the boards missing, but all the wiring is present. I'm looking for a picture showing the wiring connections or advice on how to connect the wiring to the board.  I have included a picture of the board I have that I believe is for the progressive option on my machine.
I do have the information on how to program the progressive option, but no information on how the boards wired to the machine, and my manuals no help..

Gary, I can see what we have for you. Been tacking some EMs and Es, so I'll see of we have ANYTHING in the shop that could help. No promises, but maybe we can give some pics/info on your next step!

Thanks.. I'm really looking forward to seeing the displays light up. I have the rest of the machine great once I repaired the damaged power supply plug. I'll never under stand why the switched to those cheap side crip style plugs. I've replace and repinned my fair share of them.

I have two progressive machines, an E2389 and an E2284. Don't know if they are similar, but here's some images if it can help:

Gary the pic of the board you have, maybe that is for some other option? It has a test and reset like a hopper board.


Do you think this goes to your progressive? Maybe it's for an external progressive connection?


What does the back of your progressive display look like?

That's what I'm thinking...the hookup to the casino progressive computer. The E series machines I have work "stand-aline" but when I first got them, there were a few harnesses piggybacked into the machine, with scotchlocked wires all over the machine, and appeared there was an internal device in the top box. Then, there were gaping holes drilled into the machine that must've had some sort of harness which ran to the operators console.

The boards I posted above are all relative to the progressive system internal to the machine.

My progressive display is mounted in the lower right corner of my top box light. Is very small compared to the larger whole top box units. This one measures only 4 1/2" x 2 1/2".. The reason I believe this is the correct board is that I have the exact gold metal mesh box with my spare boards.. See pictures. This does not look like and after market setup, and it's all Bally, no Summit stuff..

Aah, OK, totally different than the ones I have. These ones use a magnetic display with individual magnetic coils on each segment of each display...lots going on there.

Yours uses the conventional LED seven-segment displays. Much less complex, but different interface.

That's the first E series I've seen with that digital display.


 One of the E2000 machines I bought from you has a different MPU and PS that I never seen before. It throws a code that's not in the "E" series manual.


So I'm thinking there was changes going on with the late "E" series? And maybe that's what you have ?

      I was thinking something similar. This machine being a E-2308, that puts it towards the end of these machines run. The engineers might have been wanting to try some new technology. I don't remember where I came up with these extra boards, but it shows that there were more made using this setup, but my manual doesn't show any if it? I would thing that there is some out there somewhere?

This is where you wish that Barry Fox was still around. I noticed that his posts on the old NLG sight say he's gone fishin, so he must have asked to be removed as a member?
