I wonder how long it takes paypal to resolve the issue.
Might help speed it up if those  that have received the refund e-mails to forward the e-mails saying order refunded to Paypal so Paypal will either speed up the refund or force the the refund.

Nothing here besides a worthless email from Southern Slots stating my order was refunded. Have yet to see it in PayPal acct.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.

It looks like PayPal is giving them 10 days from the time the claim is opened to respond.  I have two more to go and we'll see what happens next.

Been following the thread and keeping quiet...didn't want to  "jinx"  my pay pal claim on a "NO Shipping"  no show for parts I purchased from  Southern Slots.  So.... backround:  Dave contacted me in  late Sep ...he had a few  BB  cpu's... I'm always looking for them.  Struck a deal and sent pay pal payment of  $5700.   to Dave/Southernslots...with notes of exactly what I purchased.   Next day rec'd the notice of shipping/tracking number...But had not been shipped.  Waited 2 or 3 days...tracking number shows no "movement".  Contacted Dave via email...he got back to me and stated he'd check into it.  Still nothing after 2 more days...again contacted Dave, He said "don't worry,  the package is insured ! "  .   OK...  I thought  how can it be insured if it has never been sent.  Somethings up !!! Went to  Pay pal and filed a non-receipt of goods...issue.  Never heard back from Dave.   I went back to pay pal to escalate to a claim.  After reading pay pal  site for resolution / issues /  and refunds...  I believe it was going to take up to  30 days for refund.  Finally got my refund after  2 weeks.  If you look at the pay pal  issue / claim process...   It does take some time.   I assume with other people filing complaints for purchases  from Southern Slots... Pay Pal   saw something  was amiss.  All I can say is, my issue has been resolved. I hope others get their refunds...Thank goodness I sent payment  for  "goods"  and not "personal"...  If funds are sent "personal"  You  are SOL.  Pay pal will not refund "personal" payments !  Good Luck.

This happened to me back in June! Then a few weeks ago they send me an email saying they're getting more items. I told them if I order would I get my item. They said yes, but I still haven't ordered anything from them since that "SCAM!" in June. What the hell are they doing over there? I thought it was just me until I read this thread.


They are now on my DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE list.

That's a big chunk of change, but THANK GOD (and PayPal) you were able to get it back. So many people bitch about PayPal fees, but in this case, PayPal is saving some people's $$$. I fully support what cp said about sending PayPal $$$ as "personal" instead of "goods and services". Many people think they are doing the seller a favor by sending the $$$ as a gift, saving the seller a few coins/bucks on fees, and I think what has happened here is a good lesson/reminder as to why NOT to do it.


(I HATE when people send payment as a gift, mainly because I cannot print a shipping label through PayPal for "gifts". Sure, I can go to USPS, UPS, or FedEx directly and print the label, but then the small amount saved on fees is spent on shipping, as I get charged a higher rate with no PayPal discount! Plus, I have to ask the buyer for a shipping address, then re type it into whatever site I'm using for the label! Just not worth it at all then!)

I bought some BV housings from them quite awhile ago. They sent transports by mistake, blamed it on their help, but did eventually come through with the correct items.

Roz,  You nailed the shipping thing in your statements.  I just got jacked a couple times and requested goods,"no confirmed address".  There went the discount, Had to go to 2nd ups account outside pay-pal and cost more.  And that was for "goods" .  Everyone who knows me or dealt with me know they are going to get their order.  In cp's case with southern slots it is possible that sothern slots returned that chunk back to paypal, Not that pay-pal paid it.  Paypal has extended the time now you can dispute items also I think.   Also ups will increase by 4.9% next year on their rates, As they already increased this year. So if you put a flat rate in,shipped,total price, watch out.  Load the fees in -(I have never done this) It is now becoming to expensive to avoid doing such.  Not to metion the high end packing boxes/materials etc.  Things dern sure aren't the way they used to be.  Sorry about the rant.  -- :fryingpan:

In NO WAY! SHAPE, OR FORM, did PayPal pay, or even "cover" these amounts that have been refunded. They have direct access to the bank account that is linked to the PayPal account....lets not kid ourselves, Southern Slots did NOT voluntarily "refund" anything. If Southern Slots HAD initiated any refunds, that would have showed instantly on the buyers end. If you don't believe me, PayPal me $1 and we can time how quickly a refund is noted in your account! That would be PayPal addy centralvalleyslots@yahoo.com!  :rotfl: :rotfl:

Roz  I may be wrong ( damn it hurts to say that ) but I don't think Paypal tells you what time the money wil be sent/refunded.
That said I looked at my PP account at 8;48 am and at that time I had your refund. Got to thinking I should have a email from PP. it's 9 am and still no email and yes I did check the junk mail.

Funny you said that Buzz, as I didn't get the email saying I had sent you a refund! I typically receive an email for every action I perform in PayPal. Their email wacks out every so often and gets delayed.


The point here is, the refund was completed and deposited back in your account in at least 40 minutes, maybe less.  :yes:

The site is still up and active.  I am fully aware of how paypal works.  I think it is a bad deal for them or/him/she/whoever.  To have just one dispute ruled then the account tapped for 57 because it was there would answer many questions,  The rest is not there.  Let's see what Ole' paypal does.   --Get your ---  :popcorn:  ready.
