Classified post after Classified post we see the same request..."PM for shipping quote"...UGH! 

Is there some HUGE profit margin on shipping that I'm missing out on?!?!?! Maybe i should be vacationing somewhere and not even know it??? Shipping is shipping...I know, some places/people (who are well known for outrageous shipping costs) do overcharge on shipping, I pay them just like everyone else does, when I HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING!!!! The charge should really be "handling", but I digress, that's their business, not mine.

When we are dealing with a member who does NOT regularly sell parts, glass, etc, do we REALLY need to question what the shipping charges are? If $3-5, even $10-15 (on larger items) difference in shipping will kill the deal, then, well, it's probably best it not even happen anyway!! If we're taking food off the table with the "higher than you thought it should be" shipping charges, then you should probably not be buying slot parts!!! No Brainer!

And for the sellers: For those that DO sell parts on a regular basis, you KNOW (or should know) what it will cost to ship to the furthest domestic US destination. I understand, BELIEVE ME, the time (which = cost or $$$) of pulling a "not frequently ordered" part, only to sell it for $5!! It's called, the COST OF DOING BUSINESS!!!! If you do not care to do that, its simple, learn these words, and, repeat after me, "NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME, NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME", "NO, WE DO NOT HAVE THAT"...problem solved!

Sorry for the rant, but when is the last time anyone was really overcharged on shipping here??? Maybe I'm just clueless and it's happening. Everyday, and if it is, well, then that's another topic..
