Cash Out Button
« on: April 15, 2018, 08:37:30 AM »
Good Morning All,

Is there a way to disable the cash out button without affecting other "features"?
Hitting said button accidentally is a pain in the  :duh:

Thank you,

 :waving_flag:

Remove the switch from the backside of the button or one of the wires for the switch.

Remove the switch from the backside of the button or one of the wires for the switch.

That's what I've done, just slip one wire off the cashout switch underneath and it won't work, doesn't affect any other switch.

Are you sure about that with the PE+?  I don't have mine handy to fire up, but the PE+ buttons are wired in series, so if there's any button after that one in the series, unhooking a wire will cause the button(s) after it to stop working, too.  If it's the last one in the series, then it doesn't matter.

My suggestion with any machine is to gently swivel the cherry switch down from its normal position.  Then, all wires are still connected, but if you press the physical button on the player panel, the cherry switch doesn't get activated (as the little plastic piece that would normally hit the switch doesn't reach it).

While you have it at zero credits, now would be a great time to review your hopper limits to ensure that it won't try to pay coins on a Royal Flush.   :propeller:

It's been a while and I have another machine that I may be thinking about, I'll take a look at it to see. I remember about the Hold buttons being in series but thought the cashout button was on a separate circuit. The cashout button is down on the end, right?

Furthest left on the player panel, usually.  My memory is really hazy, but I feel like the Change/Service button is the last one in the series, but I can't remember if that's after the last hold button (on that series) or after the Cash Out button.
