Heavy troubleshooting today. I went though the cable with a continuity checker, and all pins on one end appear to be connected to ones on the other end. I checked all pins so I could see if there was a short across any two, and didn't find any.
When the printer is connected, the lights on the printer say "Ready" and "Open". It won't let me add/feed paper either.
I swapped out the Future Logic printer Gen2 RS232 (original) printer for a newer Gen2 Universal, supposedly programmed for Aristocrat. It was throwing Signature mismatch errors in the logs and on the screen, now in addition to the printer not connected. There's only one driver in the Audit menus and it's a Future Logic / Seiko. I know Seiko and Future Logic parted ways, so I'm wondering if the older machine doesn't support a newer printer. :/
I looked at all connectors and everything seemed to be seated, but I probably need to double check connectors against a map to make sure I know which controls the printer.
Anyone got any suggestions.
Thanks in advance
