S5500 speaker location

First I would like to say how much i enjoy these forums. Exceptional, courteous people and very quick responses. For those that can help me thank you in advance. The short story version: I am brand new to slot machines of any kind but I have 35+ years of electro mechanical experience. I have restored several jukeboxes, and out of curiosity decided to take a chance on a doa S5500. Power supply was a no brainer to get the logic and display up and running. Resetting the machine proved to be a bit more tedious due to poor eeprom socket connections. A good cleaning of all chip sockets allowed me to do a complete reset and after resetting my denominations and setting up the comparator...violla, up and running. Now lastly i am missing any sounds and while I did replace the horribly leaking output cap...I cannot find a speaker of any kind. Could someone or everyone tell me or possibly show me where on the front door this is supposed to be. Once again thanks in advance for any input.

It's located on the inside of the main door. Open the door and you will have to remove the panel that is mounted on the inside of the door. The speaker is on the bottom right side.

For a more complete response you might consider checking the correct forum. The forum you need is under 5500. This forum is for  electro- mechanical slots not electronic.

EM = electro-mechanical = basically a machine made from leftover dial telephone switching network parts :-)

if you have circuit boards or anything more advanced than a diode/bridge rectifier, it's not classified as an EM even if some things like reel spinning is mechanical.

The S5500 came out years after the Bally EM slots. You had the EM, then the E-Series, the model 5000 came next, then the S5500 was next.
