I’ve seen this error in a couple different scenarios.
First, is in a tall box set up where the game and the flash on the top box light controller don’t get along. Typically unplugging the light controller board and rebooting/key turn does the trick.
Second is in a Family 20 set up where too many games are enabled and or too many USB items are plugged in. Reducing the number of games enabled and or removing license dongles takes care of it. In this scenario it is more likely to see a dynamic button error come up. Here it is a memory issue not a hardware issue. I’ve also seen errors like this when a game does not play well with others.
I’ve also seen it come up with a certain, older Family 14 OS, the exact version I do not recall.
If you just installed/enabled the game you were trying to play I’d probably remove that game via the diagnostic key if needed. See what happens. This is assuming your NV Ram isn’t maxed out. Actually, I’d go ahead and remove that game even if just not installed or enabled.
Next I’d unplug everything not absolutely needed USB/backplane wise and reboot/turn key. See if that clears it.
If that doesn’t do it I’d probably go back to diagnostic key and remove a couple more games.
Lastly, I would wipe the machine and install a newer OS version.
In most scenarios it is a “general” error that has nothing to do with “light controller” but it is a symptom of another issue.
