One channel sound?

Is it normal to have only monophonic sound, and only 1 speaker play on a base S2000 with no media card?  (I'm new to the IGT line...)

Both speakers should work. I'd check wiring or swap speakers to determine if one speaker is bad. Also, go into your machine options and check the sound settings. I'm not sure what happens if it's set to stereo on a unit without the multimedia card but it's easy to check.
Which speaker is sound coming from?
I'm not entirely sure on this though as I thing all my s2000's have the sound card. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

It is not unusual. IGT made different versions of the harnesses and for some crazy reason, not all of them produce sound on both sides. RB told me long ago that the harness that ends in 4800 is the one you need for dual side sound.
