Digital Wheel Error

I have a V32 alpha 2 I’m trying load a game into that uses the digital wheel. I have the DP to VGA adapter to hook to my video topper. However on boot I get this error. Any ideas?


CPU is a 2.1 with a K620 graphics card

I have had issues with  "generic" DP to vga adapters.  The Dell part number RN699 seems to work correctly, that is the one I'm using on my topper for those digital wheel games.

Going to try another adapter tonight then, I am currently using a startech adapter, but will try a different one. If all else fails ill get a dell one. Ill update once I figure it out, Thank you.

The issue appears to be one of resolution support.  Some of these adapters do not pass on to the video card the Edid information from the monitor, that tells the video card what resolutions it supports.  Without that information, the system doesn't know what the monitor can display so it gives you that error.  The dell ones apparently do, because it has worked for me for every game I have tried, including these newer digital wheel ones.

That all makes sense. I had a DP to DVI adapter that was on a Bally Curve. I tried that hooked to a DVI monitor. No luck. I have a Dell one on the way, will be here in a couple days. Also going to try an OS upgrade tonight. Will report back. Thank you

Ok I got the Dell Adapter and I'm having the same issue. But lets go back here though. I said I had a K620 Video card, come to find out I only have a K600. Could this be the issue?

K600 only has 1 gb video ram, you need a 2 gb card like K620 or K2000

Got it working! The video card was the issue. Popped in the K620 and the game booted right up. Thanks everyone!
