BV Not working after Brain Box battery swap
« on: July 26, 2020, 10:25:16 AM »
Hey guys,

I had a low 3.3v warning, so I swapped out the button batteries in the brain box (which resolved that error), but now the bill validator doesn't work. Here is what I know/tried:

- Diagnostics Boot: Bill Validator - Blue light turns on and I can insert bills and tickets just fine and it talks back to the machine
- On general boot, the blue light never turns on and green light is flashing on the MEI
- No hard/soft tilts to be found
- I've reseated the MEI several times, along with cash box
- I've done a complete wipe of system ram, safe ram and hard disk
- I've done a complete new setup

I know it has something to do with the battery swap, but not sure what I need to do to fix it. I've gone through the settings multiple times and am pretty sure I have them correct.

Any ideas?

Did you go into set up and enable the bill validator?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I did anyway - let me upload some pics. It's strange that it works in diagnostics, but not in normal boot. I've gone through the setup many, many times.

In the logs, it's stating that it can't find any netplex devices.. could be it?

Man, do I feel stupid - it was the top card reader box - wasn't properly seated, so the BV wasn't registering it as being closed.
