Bally S6000 - Printer / Payout issues
« on: April 27, 2014, 05:33:13 PM »
Hello, I have several Bally S6000 slots that I have been working on and having the same issues with
each of them.
All have no hoppers or coin mechanisms, Bill acceptors only.
All have printers.
All have had ram cleared and reset to default values, verified with the 11d machine options codes.
Machines all play correct, Accept bills, denomination and payouts correct to payout glass.
Problem is (no matter how many credits on the meter) once Print ticket is hit the machines start to
ring/ding sound and no tickets are printed. I can not stop that ring/ding sound process with the reset key.
Only way I have been able to stop is by doing another ram clear.
I have tried changing some of the 11d settings with no success,
Example of settings I have tried to change:
73 from 2 to 0
56 from 800 to 9999
51 from 800 to 9999
58 from 800 to 1000
61 from 2 to 1
81 from 1 to 0

Does anyone have any suggestions ??
Thank you very much for your time !!!
Colorado...

You actually need the older 2003 mains for the printer to work.

You should still be able to clear the credits by turning the attendent key. Something is most likely not right in your 11d settings unless you have bad key switches on all of your machines which is not likely.

I am assuming The attendant key is working,  it accesses the options on the front door.  Is there possibly one of the options that should be modified to clear the credits.

I am more than willing to switch out the mains.
Does anyone know for sure which mains
Allow for printer usage,  and where
I may be able to purchase them.

If the mains are the problem then you will need mains older then 2003. However if it is the mains the machines will usually print one ticket after a ram clear and then every cashout after would result in a handpay. And usually to shut a s6000 up you can just hit the change button. It should shut off the bell.

You're never gona clear the credits with the key with 61 & 81 set as you have them. 61 must be set to 0002 (Printer only) and 81 must be set to 0000 (No coin Acceptor), the others you listed are users choice. All the advise from the others guys is correct, After a ram clear the machine will only print the first ticket, all others will be hand pay. After 2003 all the mains used by Bally were programed to look for the Casino network (TITO). because your machines are set up as stand alone, when Cash Out button is pressed the machine sees NO network, hence goes to hand pay.
If it ain't broke.....Stop trying to fix it.

I thank you all for the help.
I will make the changes to the
61 &  81 values tomorrow and try the Reset.
I'll drop a line back with my results.

Any idea where I may be able
To purchase several of the
 Pre - 2003 mains. I did put a post
In the classified section.
Thanks again!!

I installed the Pre 2003 Mains in one of the machines and all went well. Printer works great. Printed a half a dozen test prints. A-Okay.

Thank you all very much for all of your help!!!  :applause: :hail: :hail: :applause:
