Bally 6000 Cashwheels Monte Carlo
« on: May 08, 2014, 08:25:18 AM »
I have a couple of the Bally 6000 Cashwheels  Monte Carlo three reel slots that I would like to use just as a home Slot machine.
Is it possible to disable and turn off all of the progressive and communication hardware associated with.

Yes, you can control all of that in the 11d settings.

If I were to post my current 11d settings and hardware configuration, would anyone be able to tell me which ones to modify in order to turn off the communication and progressive.

I had read the other day in an older topic to change
02=0
07=0
06=0
78Lo=0

I'm getting an 91 and a 83.8 error.

                 Oddly enough, those were the defaults when I did a clear.
Do you think it was okay to do a clear using Bally6000 clear chips I use on the Non Cashwheel Monte Carlo type slots.

Also wondering if I have to disable any of the wires running to from the back board to the top ?

83 is a safe ram clear error. just me....  but why would you want a Monte Carlo that the progressive didn't work ??

I'll try another ram clear.  And repeat the same steps using a different Monte Carlo.  I'll let you know the results.

 "but why would you want a Monte Carlo that the progressive didn't work ??"

I'm only going to keep one,  and don't know enough about how they play to know why progressive would be important.
They are great looking Slot machines though.

Without the progressive how will you set a jackpot amount? What will it do if someone hits one?

I'm wondering what the game will do if someone hits a jackpot. Will it have to be cleared? Just a reset key? I'd like to know also because I'd be happy if I could ditch the progressive stuff and still have the machine operate properly

Safe ram clear will restore 11d settings to non progressve default. Are you setting up the machine coinless? Also, is it a multi spin Cashwheel ?

Not sure if these photos will be the correct views to determine if it a multi spin Cashwheel.

I did another ram clear and was able to get rid of the 83.8 error. Still left with the 9.1nc error.  Shown in the attached photo.

Is there a cable I can unplug,  a dip switch I could change or possibly jumper something out.  I just want to totally remove the need for any and all progressive and communication hardware.

I put two same type 6000 Monte Carlo side by side ram clear done on both swapping MPU's getting same errors on both.
Any ideas?

91nc is no communication to the upper box or progressive. Is option 02 set at 0000 ? Also is the comm cable plugged in to the front of the mpu. If plug is ok, make sure the upper box cooling fans are on. If upper fans are inop, you have either a wiring or power problem to the upper box.
