Bally e2873 error 6 intermittent

I've been chasing this problem for years now
Im pretty sure the problem is a component on one of the boards is failing
Im gonna just leave it plugged in and turned on for couple days and maybe a cap or resister will burn up so I can find it , any thoughts would be appreciated !!

I agree with the about. Also check the power supply plug for burnt marks. One other thing to check is the condition of the solder joint connections on the back side of the Power supply 20 pin plug. The solder will crack around the pin on the back side. This causes what’s called a cold solder joint. If you have these, then reheat the solder to make a new and better connection.

I posted about this problem a while back I thought it was fixed but the problem returned I’ll reflow all these pens right now

PS could be just getting old. I have found that the crimp connectors in the PS plug loose there tension. They only make connection on one side of the header pin.

Reflowed all the solder joints still no change the problem is on the circuit that the Solenoid for the handle lock is on is that flickers in and out

Have you check the voltage output on your PS?

When I test the loops on the board the first one I get 5 V Second one I get 6.7 V and the last one I get 8.3 V but when I test the pins I get 8 V and some I get 3.3 V

Sound like the low voltages could be your problem. They should be 5v, 7.5v and 10v.

And the number one question is do you have one for sale?
Or what can I replace on this board since there’s not much to it

That was the fix put a new power supply in today everything works as it should thanks again for everybody’s input and help.
