Jennings J400 problems
« on: November 09, 2020, 01:14:35 PM »
i picked up this machine a couple of weeks ago and it does not work. i think its a jennins maybe. when i turn it on the bell rings continually and i get call attendant. there is a switch next to a key hole when held down before turning on the machine the bell wont ring and i will get insert coin sometimes. after inserting coin the light goes out but i cant pull the lever to make reels spin. i think its a logic board issue. voltages im getting are 22, 14,and 4.8 going off of the diagram of jenningsslots.com any ideas? pictures in the link.

Hello.  That is a 5c version of a Jennings J400.  Check a couple of threads up.  I'm having the same issue and its driving me nuts!

When the logic board fails on these machines it's all over. I had a couple of these machines and struggled for ages to troubleshoot and repair the boards, without success. In the end I designed a replacement board that can be programmed for any of them. PM me if you need one.
