G23 dynamic buttons dead after battery change?
« on: July 30, 2021, 01:02:18 PM »
Hey guys, quick question. I have an avp 3.0 brain box g23 machine. I kept getting battery tilt error so I ordered an ekey 7 to reset it. I did and it worked fine but still got battery tilt error. Changed the batteries, the nimh pack on the distribution board and the two button cells in the brain box. No more battery tilt error but my oled buttons are dead now.

Just the oled part, the button press registers. I checked the diag and it recognizes the dynamic button controller etc. and all the physical button presses.

The hdmi connection was real loose, I swapped hdmi cables and the usb cable as other posts about this machine suggest.

The only thing that I can figure is I damaged the small hdmi board at the button deck when I had my arm in there or there is a setting somewhere to tell the machine it has a dynamic button deck.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Solved-

I ordered all parts I could think of and installed them as they arrived. I’m impatient like that :). Ended up being the blackfin board. I must have just bumped something just right I guess. 🤷‍♂️. At least it works.
