Igt hot peppers wont clear 61 code

I am having a problem cleaning a 61 code on a igt hot peppers machine. Any help would be very much appreciated!! Bad week for machines in my game room i guess

Ok so update….. I was able to pull the CMOS chip for the 15 secs and i now am passed the 61 code. I am now stuck on the 61-1 code as it wont clear when i turn the reset key. I know the switch is good cause it will go into settings mode?? But i did notice this missing and wonder if it has something to do with the new problem.

Ok new update as i cant stop fiddling with it…. I put on a optic that was missing (wich i need to buy if anyone has a extra one) and that got me out of the 61-1 code but put me back into the 61 code. I can not get past the 61 code now. Any help would be appreciated!

If the CMOS trick didn't work, sometimes you can change to another compatible SP chip and get it to clear. Other than that you would need to use a clear chip (IVC123) to get out of the 61 loop. I looked for a cabinet optic but I only have a few with broken wires. I can send you a clear chip if needed. PM if interested.

Wich one is the SP chip by chance?? Then i can see if i have one that matches. Sorry for all the dumb questions.

SP chip is the game chip.  You do not want one that matches.  If machine has a SP731 in it now try switching to a SP1271.

RB was able to sell me some and a few chips to help clear the code hopefully. I do need some buttons if you have any of those?

Update on machine. I received the chips and happy to report the machine is up and running great!! I could use some lights for the buttons if anyone has some for sale?? I do thank you all with all for  your input couldn’t have done it with out all of you.
