IGT AVP error - Invalid top monitor

I have an IGT AVP model 96499410, sorry don’t know more.
It says to turn attendant key which I have done and it Initializes the system but just goes back to the same error.  It does play some music, bottom screen shows AVP then bot show the AVP logo but just returns to the same red screen with the Recoverable Error, any ideas ?

Post a picture of your machine and we'll be able to tell what it is.  Photo's have to be less than 1MB in size.  A picture of the red screen error will be helpful too. 

What's the history of the machine?  Was it working before this error appeared?

Do you have an EKey 7 and Diag drive?

I do have a key but not sure if that is an Ekey 7, probably not, and no diag drive, I am an IT guy but just a layman on slots machines.

I haven't seen that one before.  The OS appears to be looking for an upper widescreen monitor like the lower one and isn't happy about the round top screen it's seeing.  Can you give us some background on the machine? Was it working before and if so, what was happening before the error message appeared?

we had a NO SYNC error, had to take it back to the guy we bought it from, worked for two days and then got the red screen error, but i noticed he cut off the two contact switches where the door closes and Jerry rigged the top switch with some duck tape, so i stuck some foam in ther to make sure that closing the door holds the top switch in, yeah I know this is BS, but that did not seem to change the error, what it did change is that we got a green screen error which said to call attendant, open the door which then changed back to the red screen with the Invalid Top Monitor error which says to turn the key which I did and it black screens with Initializing In Progress message, comes back to the Red Screen error, so frustrating.

Ok, so it has some bailing wire and duct tape holding it together, but it did work for a couple of days.  That means the machine OS and games loaded worked with the round top monitor. 

Do you have Ekey7 and a diag drive for it?  If so, I think I would try wiping the safe storage memory and see if that clears the error.  Don't wipe the hard drive or you'll wipe the games and OS and have to reload them.  Do you have the loader files just in case you do end up needing to do that? 

If the person you bought it from gave you any type of warranty with it you may want to have them fix it, especially if you don't what I'm talking about.

I am an IT guy so could follow the instructions, any idea where I could buy the Ekey7 and the diag drive ?
Also, from the picture, can you tell what model I have ?

It's a G20. Someone has installed a game or package that is not compatible with the round top monitor.
