s2000 no display

got a s2000 in shop today from warehouse   it has enhanced board  but its not a r board game yet it only has  a 4 digit display  instead of a 9 which I see on most   9 line  games  its a 3x 2x  hot pepper will it work with a 4 digits   display?

It should they were made for 20 lines but I have seen a few 5 reel 9 lines with that type of display.

the guy I got these games from is a real pos  ,was thinking he might have switch glass and display to make a complete game   now I have to find out why we are getting  the no disp

Does it have the right reel glass then? Have you plugged the other type of display in to see if that makes it happy? Wait, that may not work as the multi-line display won't work with just any SG chips....

yes I  tried  the  9 digit still the same imo  the reel glass  don't look right

Just for sh$ts and grins can you try a different legacy board and chipset to see if the ones currently installed just aren't compatible? Or better yet, throw an r board title in, just the board, to see if it boots?

Looking back on the old site, I see a bad Door I/O will give a No Disp. Quick enough to check.

got it a little farther along  now I can't get  door to show closed  might be bad I/o board will try after dinner , I did the door bypass , still same , but did find a bad key switch , thanks for help

The Red Reel glass will work OK.
The Play 9 lines like the one on the right is the Common Reel Glass for a 5 reel machine that uses a SB Chip..

The Red reel glass with the 4 windows usually are compatible with the R-Board games that have,  Play 40 Lines.
The Standard reel glass can't handle, Play 40 Lines. There is only 9 lines per coin played, not 40 lines. I believe the highest per line for the Play 9 line reel glass was 20 credits per line.
The 5-Reel machine I sold, I used either one. Get tired of one, use the other one.
The Play 45 credits award label has nothing to do with the reel glass. It only has to do with what SB Chip you use. Play 45-90-180-360 Credits, played per game.
Make sure your door optics are not broke or chipped. I've had problems in the past where the door optics look normal but was cracked.
I only used the Game 1 & 2, Chip 000598.. The 597's were use for Double Diamond Bonus Penny?
