Identify this machine please

This may actually be an EM slot machine but I have not seen it in person to check for sure. Can someone tell me the model/year of this machine and why there is no award glass above the reels like on a conventional slot?

That machine looks like the Bally 956 Low Boy but with different reel strips, first made in 1972. Internally it
would be the same as a Bally 809

So those are the wrong reel strips for that machine?

Not necessarily, just different than the picture of the 956 that I have. I would bet that there is a dash number after
the model number and that would correspond to the reel strips that is in this machine.

What would be a fair price to pay for this machine? It currently does not work. I've only worked on one Bally EM slot machine and it was similar to a Bally pinball machine in my opinion, as far as getting it back to working condition, cleaning and properly adjusting the stack switches on the coils, etc.

This is a difficult question for me to answer because I don't buy machines but I would think that a non working
machine might be in the range of $150 to $250 depending on where you live. They are much easier to repair
than those with circuit boards.

worth 100 to 200 not working  , 1st make sure everything is in it they are wider than  800  models, since everything that was in top on 800 models is now along side of mech on a relay board , if cabinet has smooth finish mid to late 60 s rough finish early 70 s , glass for those are hard to find , and many times those boards are missing , that one is a jpo model also

So you are saying that the relay board is what I need to see if it is missing? And what do you mean by JPO  model?

jpo = jackpot only  , yes there should be a relay board on inside side of cabinet

I try to stay under $150 on any non-working machine, but there are exceptions, see pic... Look over the machine closely inside and out.. Look at the cabinet Beau plugs to make sure they are not damaged, Glass is almost impossible to replace so check it for peeling paint or chips and cracks.. If everything is there then it can be repaired.. Start low with your offer, say $75 or even $50.. You can always go up, but you can't come down... I've walked away from machines where they wouldn't accept my offer, only to buy it a week or two later when no one else was interested... I get it all depends on your area, and how bad you want it too..
