You need to take the cover plate off to see where the cables were connected. At least that is where my problem was (a very loose and poor connection).

The picture shows where I found my loose usb connection. It is like an extension cable connected with a male and female usb cord that goes to the monitor.

There is a cover plate over some cables on the back of the door right behind and below the lower touch screen monito.

With SP1271 you can set credit and hopper limits separately, that's the one I use.

I like the SP1271 chip also. Here is link for settings using the 1271. http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=514.0[/url NLG Member RB is the man for chips.

That’s what I was trying to explain above, i swapped the cable and the actual printer in different times,  the cable that in there now works with one and not the other

Hi, Had a similar problem with my S9000. There is a metal plate protecting the wires on the door behind the lower monitor. The USB cable to this lower touch screen monitor bbehind this plate has a USB male and female connection. Loose connection was helped by slightly bending in the plug to create a much tighter connection. Seems to have cured the problem. The cover plate is held on by 2 screws. Hope this helps.

Swap the ribbon cable to test?
If it works, then you just need a ribbon cable.
