Hi, Had a similar problem with my S9000. There is a metal plate protecting the wires on the door behind the lower monitor. The USB cable to this lower touch screen monitor bbehind this plate has a USB male and female connection. Loose connection was helped by slightly bending in the plug to create a much tighter connection. Seems to have cured the problem. The cover plate is held on by 2 screws. Hope this helps.

Swap the ribbon cable to test? If it works, then you just need a ribbon cable.

Weeks of research, getting the right parts, but finally got all the right pieces of the puzzle to convert a BB2E w/NXT3.2 CPU into a fully functional gamefieldxD! So if anyone else wants to do this…. Benefit from my findings! Here’s what you need to know. 😁
Some gamefield titles are really finicky! And Ironman is one of them! But it’s worth it as it’s more rare than most titles!
If you start with a BB2E w/ a NXT3.2 CPU. Parts needed:
Standalone version of Ironman of course.
OLED button deck. Can’t be a standard deck. I’d love to find a 3 button OLED deck from an original gamefield cabinet. But the regular OLED buttons do work fine. You don’t really use them anyway.
Your video card in the NXT3.2 MUST be an E4690! The more common (and more powerful) E6760 card will not work! You can try but the gamefield touchscreen will not calibrate properly. Some other titles may be ok. But the GFxD cabinet shipped with the E4690 card.
A Gamefield USB touchscreen.
32” top display. A lightweight HDTV likely works fine. Just 1920x1080, no need for 4K with VESA mounts. I used an NEC v323 myself found on eBay for like $180.
The power connector on the GF touchscreen is an AMP universal click n lock two row 6 pin connector. But you can also just hardwire in two plain 2 pin connectors. One plug with 24v on both red wires to the GF display, the other with ground on both pins. So you can easily disconnect the display power as you’ll need to fashion a power cable to get 24v and ground from the OEM power plug from the primary display to the GF touchscreen.
Have all the parts? 🙂
Wire it up! Remove both 22” displays. Use a mounting arm to support the vertical top display. You’ll have to fashion a mod to hold the GF touchscreen. But not that difficult.
Primary display is the GF touchscreen. If you try and use a 6760 video card it’s reversed and secondary comes up as the GF touchscreen.
Video is just two DVI-D cables. No adapters or anything needed.
Clear, load, calibrate the screen. Initial setup and tada! There ya go!
If you had a 6760, keep it as a spare, you might need it if you load other GF titles. 😁 But you’ll just drive yourself crazy trying to get Ironman to work with a 6760 video card! The touchscreen will never calibrate properly.
Finally…. Jumpers on the backplane! Additional jumpers needed if you don’t have emotive lighting that’s on a BB2E. You must cut the jumper wire looping on j10 from pins 9-11 on a BB2E.
And you must ground pin 3 on connector j14 on the backplane. That makes the cabinet type a gamefieldxD.
Done!!! If you load another title, you “might” need to use the 6760 card. But I believe the 4690 video card will handle them all just fine.
But the good leased titles like Ironman and WoZ haunted forest that need the older OS 18.02 you likely need the 4690 card….
Good luck to all! If you do it, this info will save you lots of time! 😂
Awesome, always wanted to do this as I have Ironman, Beetle Juice and the Haunted Forrest. You outlined it very well and I will probably try at some point. Thanks for posting all of this. Will save this info when the time comes to try it

Hi, just wondering if a Bally S9000 needs a clear after printer replacement with same brand and model printer? Thanks, Jim
25
1 has green and yellow on, i am gonna try and wash cashbox to see if that helps, it actually tries to take the bill but spits it back out
the other has all 3 lights on steady. table says unprogrammed unit/generic unit, when i try and enable the bill acceptor in the options is says not responding. is this a board issue, wire issue or programming issue,. thanks

this came out of a s2000 that had a coin jammed behind the backplane. board has been fixed but got a printer head up error, swapped cables and remained, swapped new printer and the new one works in the cab so its not the cab. This one also had a frayed ribbon cable and may have been disconnected while power was on. Any suggestions, and fixes?

just picked up an s2000 with an ithaca printer, never had one before. When i enable, it tries to do a netplex auto config and then comes back with printer disabled. lights are on and power is there, any suggestions on what to look for? Thanks

(SS) Reel proms for DDD:
http://www.newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%203CM/Game%20Library%20-%20S-Plus%20-%20Double%20Diamond%20Deluxe%20(3%20Coin%20Multip.htm
Get either a SP731 or SP1271 for your DDD and SS chip from list above. With SP1271 you can set credit and hopper limits separately, that's the one I use. Either SP chip will need a SET15 chip to enable BV and set the denom.
Thanks for everything.
