IGT Triple Double Hot Peppers Rebuild
« on: May 26, 2014, 03:12:26 PM »
The machine itself works fine.  Time to rebuild the top section as it appears to have been stripped down except for the ticket printer, candle, and sound.  No display, keypad, card-reader, connection to LED display board.  Any ideas on where to start on what boards should be in the top section and where to start looking?

Here is what it looks like with close-ups of the top boards.

Since you hae a Cham II or Cham II+ 12 cell display

You might as well get a complete Mikohn Cham II+ or Stand Alone with V2.11 firmware from a vendor on here
you are missing the controller, driver board, harnesses, and power supply
Note the Cham II+ will fit nicely under the Bill Acceptor and usually power and ribbon cable are long enough to reach to the top box.
You will need a 3 wire harness to interface Cham II+ to the machine progressive connection on the motherboard or comm board.
You will need a windows XP or Windows 7 or 8 32 bit versions or search how to run dos 16 bit programs on a windows 7 or 8 64 bit versions
You will need a copy of PSP 2 or 3, I  like 3 over 2 works great with cham II+
Also the Cham II+ serial port needs a jumper installed for PSP to communicate with the Cham II+ correctly.

Now for player tracking a Bally MasterCom 250, if you have a EPROM programmer can be customized with your own message on it.
It won't do any good trying to connect it to the machine requires expensive back end system to work
hardware is not available and the software is leased and very expensive per month
Make sure you specify it will be going in a S2000 The brackets and covers are different for different machines. If the printer is in the top box you want the short version
I can design and build a TITO system that will use the display and keypad that is part of the Bally MasterCom player tracking panel.
