Hey all,


I've done some searching and a little reading but am still relatively lost diagnosing a dead monitor.  I have a January 2002 I game that thanks to many members help I got powered up last night ( had a cut off power supply connector and missing power supply).  The machine now powers up, all my lights/fans work, when you open the door I get a two tone sound door open alarm.  My Tito printer will initialize and stays flashing as though it's going to print a ticket, likewise the bill acceptor also initialized etc.  I have 6 yellow LEDs on the mpu.  I get zero from the screen, no static no amber in the back no sounds etc.  Its a 19 pin 17 inch screen.  I intend to do a lcd swap eventually, however I would prefer to get it going first as is.  Anyone have a proven method to diagnose these?

Here's a schematic that may be helpful.  There's a 3A fuse on the board there somewhere, have you checked it?

The fuse is the only thing that I did a quick ohm check on and it is good.  What a schematic!  I'm a 20 year master auto technician that now teaches for GM, I understand electrical like the back of my hand, I teach electrical 1, 2 and 3 but damn !!  I'm sure the avg slot/arcade tech is laughing at me right now lol.

I’d start by checking or recapping that 1793 Ceronix chassis.

Update, the fuse inside the isolation transformer was blown, and re blows.  Following others suggestions I plan to recap the chassis replace the fuses again and cross fingers....
