Wms BB2 touchautodetect time out

Machine is getting hung during boot after clear.

It loads, but cannot get past this issue.  Have tried known working OS.

Im pretty sure thats a touchscreen error, check that its not disconnected

I tried switching monitors & the upper TS harness, but no luck.

Maybe the mpu is bad?

The serial port on the backplane could be bad as well.  The serial UARTs are on the backplane I believe.  Obviously the easiest to try is another MPU if you have a spare.  Replacing the backplane takes a lot longer to test.  But if it is not the mpu, then it's the backplane.

I meant the upper portion of the touchscreen harness, located right behind the monitor.


After multiple clears,  I was able to install the game-  game chest.

However, it has a tilt for top box door open.

  Any idea where this switch is?  Looks like most of them have been jumped already.

Turns out the top box tilt was caused by the mpu not being seated properly.

I removed and re-seated & the error went away.  Game is operating normally now.

I also realized the touchscreen com error, and probably that boot error were caused by the TS connection at the backplane.  One of the wires must be a bit loose or connection slightly corroded.  TS tilt goes away when I push the wires in firmly.
