WMS BB1 Error ?

Reloading some of my backups on my BB1 and I get this Error ( MBR read failed, I/O error) Does anyone know what causes this ?

Master Boot Record read failed.  Either you have the game and OS in the wrong positions, or your OS card is bad.  Also what bios do you have?  You also get this error if you are using bios version 1600 and you are trying to load one of the newer OS'.

The BIOS is 2000 , will certain Flash Cards work on some games and not others ? Thanks again Rick!!!!

The error you are getting is because you are probably using sandisk standard cards for the OS, probably either 128MB, 256MB or 512MB os files.  For the OS, I've found that the only cards the work reliably are either original WMS cards (they can be re-written to other OS' with no issues), or sandisk ultra or extremes.  The game cards are less finicky and you can probably get away with a sandisk standard card.

Hey Rick, All the Flash Cards I have will work with the Game but not all on the Operating System. Thanks for your help saved me a big HEADACHE !!!

PS If you ever get the chance please explain (fmb) & (vhd) files

FMB are for the program RECOVERY MANAGER and the IMG or VHD are for WinImage. The two programs make their own type of backup file.
