Hi Everyone,
Well, a new machine seemed to find it's way to my house, and believe it or not, it's NOT an IGT game.
To be honest, I don't play the WMS games very much in the casinos as I generally stick to Game King video poker and occasionally S2000s. For years though, I was always enamored with the gameplay and sounds of Dean Martin's Wild Party. My wife even more so, which helped make this happen.
Currently, the game is set up with the NXT1 board...Bluebird 1. The board is the blue version with 512 megs of RAM, and the Intel Celeron 650 processor. I will be testing an MPU (green board) with the Intel Pentium III 700 processor. Some have claimed that the P3 processor is an older design that was prone to overheating, but has a bit more horsepower in the processor department. Others claim that the Celeron and blue board is a newer setup and even though the clock speed is slower, performance may be a bit better and it requires less cooling. More to come...
I'm also setting this up with a Mississippi jurisdiction chip. Some have said when this chip is used, the meters can be disconnected to eliminate the clicking sounds.
Currently, it's running with TITO only and no coin in/out. It has a coin head and comparitor, but is missing a hopper. Wiring appears to be there. I have lots to learn, but really would like to set up coin in/out...just because.
Other kits...probably will be minimal. Famous last words right? Super Jackpot Party will be next in line. I could really use some suggestions on other kits. The only requirement is that they run smooth on BB1 hardware. If they are meant for BB2 and run like crap on BB1 hardware, I'm not interested. Again, I'd love to hear from the Bluebird experts.
Lastly, I'd like to give a special shoutout to Jeremy at Game King Slots. The sale was ultra smooth, the game is minty as they come, and he has delivered on everything that he promised. I've purchased slot goodies from Jeremy in the past and he is all about integrity and making his customers happy. The transaction from start to finish was very professional. Packaging and shipping was bullet proof. Thanks again Jeremy!
Anyway, here are a few photos of the game and I'll be sure to get some video footage posted soon!
Thanks,
Jason
