Swapped amps backplane pcb ect still only has sound from 1 speaker ...... is there a setting in the key chip for mono/stereo speakers ?

It's the harness. Stereo harness without enhanced sound will do that.

What do I need to do add an mml board to the mpu ?? Harness and all that in here is original to the game
When I got it it had no board so I donâ€™t know if it orig had an mml or not .... I have an mm board here with a 42 card would that work ?

Can I tie the tip 2 speakers together without overloading the amp ? Whatâ€™s the diff between the 2 harnesses can I make this one work ?

Look at the 8 pin connector. Stereo has 6 wires into 6 pins. Mono has 6 wires into 4 pins. I don't recommend rigging it but some people do. Just put the correct harness in it if you don't want to use a MML & SIMM. You can probably find one in another machine.

I have tied the two speaker wires together.. Never had a problem.. You could try you MMII Board with you 0042 simm. That high allow you to run you machine in stereo..

I just ran into this issue with a cabinet I'm fixing for a friend. Turned out to be the MML board, it only outputs sound out of the right speaker. Changing the MML board fixed the issue. Anybody got an easy fix for an MML board that is only outputting one channel? Or should I just junk it.

Thereâ€™s always the frowned upon hack of tying both speakers together, others have done it and so have I with no issues. Depends on how much of a pinch youâ€™re in to get it done and if you wanna spend $ on parts or not

He wants the machine operating 100%, if you tie the speakers together you are not getting "stereo" sound and he wants it that way. I was originally going to tie the two together, but he says he wants it "mint"

Try removing C57 and C59. They're 1uf caps used for the aux audio input. When they fail they'll cause fading, scratchy sounds, loud pops etc. The aux audio input isn't used, so removing them won't cause any problems and may fix the no sound out of one channel problem. If that doesn't fix it try replacing C33 and C34 with the caps you removed from C57 and C59. I've found C57 or C59 is the usual culprit though.

Hey all, have a similar problem. I've got whining + game audio from the left channel and not much audio in the right. Plus, isn't the coin tray speaker supposed to add some bass? If so, I get no audio from that as well. i removed the caps at 57 and 59 but that didn't help. I tried to swap the others from 33 and 34 and not much change. They did test at 1ohm each. Any help is appreciated.

I would look at your amp board inside the top box where the speakers connect if you have already done cap fix. Also the molex connector that connects the sub to the wiring tends to break, so look at the molex connect on the speaker side and the cabinet side to make sure they are not damaged.

Thanks Rick...I'll have to look into that and report back. I didn't know about the top box amp. I thought it was only in the MMLite board. I'm new to this so thanks for the insights.

Rick, so there is an amp in the top box. See pic. Which caps should i test? I'm assuming that you just need to carefully unsolder the edges to get them off? And, what's the value of them?
