IGT s2000 Triple Triple Diamond, Ticket to Quarter Machine
« on: October 10, 2020, 11:22:56 AM »
Some years ago I acquired a Triple Triple Diamond Machine that pays out in tickets.  I want to remove the printer, and make it a functional quarter machine.  I have a coin slot, hopper, and a coin comparitor that I can put in the machine, I just don't know the steps of the conversion.  I previously had a IGT Coral Reef that I could put coins or bills in, which paid out in quarters.  I want to make it similar.  I want to be able to insert coins and pull the handle, or push the button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Chase

I guess some of the glass will need to be changed too.

You will need a key chip to make some changes to the machine.  Also the S2000's will not behave like the S+ (coral reef machine) that has coins in/out, unless you have one of the older Stepper Game chips on your machine, otherwise, the machine will work in credit mode only with wins and bills going to credits and machine only paying coins when you cash out.  Other than that you will need:

1.  Hopper plate (goes inside the machine and it is where the hopper slides into, has a beau plug at the end with a harness that connects to the backplane).
2.  Hopper.
3.  Comparitor with bracket that holds the diverter and coin-in optics.
4.  Coin head with bracket.
5.  Coin tray to take the coins.
6.  Some machines also need the coin out plastic bracket to replace the metal cover bracket that is under the belly door, otherwise the coins won't come out.

Post a photo of your coin in parts and the inside of the machine to make sure you have what you need.  Also take a photo of the bottom side of the door, if it has a clear plastic with holes (where the coins come out), then you are set as far as that is concerned.

In addition, you will need the wiring harness for #3 mentioned above and a coin chute for the inner door panel. A key chip will be required to set it all up.

I have attached the requested pictures.  I don't know if that bracket (img_7400, next post) is from the old machine.  Please Advise.

You are going to need these. See pic. I have them. PM if interested. Don't forget the key chip if you don't have one. Be sure your hopper is correct for 25c.
