S2000 Enhanced Motherboard Reel Sockets
« on: October 20, 2020, 07:43:01 PM »
I was closely inspecting an S2000 Enhanced Motherboard PN 75909100.
There's 3 reel sockets (J5, J4, and J17)
If you look closer, :sherlock: J4 is for reels 6-10 and J17 is the socket for reels 11-15? ???
:reels: :reels: :reels: :reels: :reels:
What helluva game uses 15 reels?!?!??!?!? :arrowthruhead: :rotfl:
I've never seen any game like that.  :scratch-head_3: :scratch-head_2: :Eating_Cookie:

15 reels - you would have a better chance winning the lottery.

Just a guess but the numbers 6-10, 11-15, etc. might be pin numbers identifying the pins used in each connector.  Looks like each reel only uses five connector pins.

Looking at the Enhanced board schematic, I am seeing 15 stepper drive channels (4 lines for each), and 15 optic detector inputs. Anyone ever see more than 5 reels on a S2000? That would be amazing!

Edit: The MPU can only drive 5 reels directly. The other 10 would have to be connected to driver circuitry externally.

I have seen 3 reels on a reel shelf and 3 reels up in a topbox....I think it was Red Devil's or Lil Devils?
