Multimedia Lite Schematic
« on: November 26, 2020, 09:35:15 AM »
Few questions for the group...

I'm looking for a Multimedia Lite PN 76924401 Rev A AND an amp inline 7692800 Rev A MC 0304 schematic...anyone have one to share? I don't see it in the downloads.

It looks like this board is mono as there is only one LM386N-4 IC. Is there a way to convert to stereo?

Finally, why are the inputs to the inline amp on J7 like this...pin 2 white/blue, pin 7 white/purple and pin 10 green/blue? I'm sure the schematic will help here...TIA :thank_you:

Goto IGT ->Game King in the file section and you'll find 17" Game King schematics there.  It has schematics for the MML2 board and amp, they're the same as used in S2000.

Tilt. thanks for the info. I'm not sure if the MML1 is the same one I have. For example, I'm looking at the output amp at U27 on the board and that is not what I see in the schematic. I've attached a pic of it here.

You have a MML II (2) not a 1.

Ken, is there any reason I can't get this card to produce stereo?

Is stereo selected and only one of the top speakers work?

This is a 3 Reel Tabasco machine. I've got stereo selected in the audio settings. When stereo is selected, I can't hear the FX when the first, second or third reels hit a Yelow, Red or Tabasco. However, when I put it in MONO, I do hear all of that. In addition, when I have the machine in stereo and listen to each individual files in the I/O settings, I can hear all of the FX with no prob. I should also state that this is one of those machines that has the AC interference in the left channel. I am about to put so 10k pots inline so I can help that situation.

When the Orange Habanero, Red 7 or the Tabasco symbol hits the payline on the first reel, there is a sound (FX) that it makes. It would then make a another sound if that same symbol hit the payline on the second reel. It's that audio I don't hear. But when I preview it in the I/O settings, I can hear it in stereo. Sorry about that, I'm more of an audio guy than I slot guy. I'm new to the hobby.

I know that sometimes a different sound is heard when those symbols stop on the payline. I also know that there's times that when those symbols hit the pay line that it doesn't make that sound but the backlit reel lights up. I think it's an issue in the coding.

What's happening in this machine is that when it's in MONO, I can hear it when the symbol hits the payline, when in STEREO, I cannot. I'm trying to figure out the wiring on the MML board to see if it's actually generating stereo or something else is going on. After studying the schematic, the wiring up at the inline amp is weird. I've been working at it for a couple of weeks off and on and starting to hit the wall.

Someone can correct me here but I believe it's a 10ohm impedance or not depending on how it's jumped. I don't think it has anything to do with stereo/mono. Anyone?

That document has both the MML1 (EPROM) and MML2 SIMM) schematics.  MML2 schematics begin on pg 53.

Okay...I was just wondering...are the speakers on an S2000  8 ohms or 10 ohms or am I thinking this wrong?
I know nothing about audio...I'm the guy that always blew my speakers up in my 1st cars I owned.... :rotfl:

Those are fine.  Here's a wiring diagram for the speakers for a S2000.  There's several different options, you'll have to look at the tag on the wiring harness to figure out which one yours has.  Is it only the reel stop sounds that you're missing and is it missing completely or you only hear it from one speaker?  Does the melody play ok when the reels are spinning?

Looks like the harness numbers are faded but here they are. Also here's other tags on the speaker connections. Hope this helps.
