Hello

Im trying to help a guy over email and phone to fix his machine..

I need a little help on this if any one can help.

He replaced the battery on the board and tryed to reset it with out clear chips.

It acts like it clears then every thing is good until he drops a coin in... It will give you a coin in error.

had him clean all the coin optics and still gets the error..

It dose it with the door open or door closed.....

he replaced the coin optics and still wont work... Had him do the ram clear with the chips now because the other was not working. even using the chips it still wont work...

It acts like the door is all ways open.. So he cleaned the door optics and still acts the same....

He even replaced the door optics and still no go...

Any one have anything new i can have him try???

He taked to another slot tech that told him the board was bad.. So he wen and got a board from the guy but the guy sent him a REV B board not a REV A board like he has...

Will the rev B board work in this machine or dose he need a Rev A board?

Are we talking about an S+ machine and S+ boards?  Any S+ board will work in any S+ machine.  If it's a 16mhz board, though, he'll need 16mhz chips.

Does the door LED display blink off then back on when you close the door (latch all of the way down)?
