Has anyone seen this problem before
« on: March 30, 2018, 04:48:03 PM »
I have a avp G20 MLD with a 3.0 625 box running 14B3004 boots and after installing games on hard drive I'm getting (Storage authentication failed!! system will retry in 10 seconds.) and keeps rebooting over and over. I've tried different drives and get the same thing. So I'm kinda at a stand still for now and don't know how to correct the problem.

Thanks in advance, Dale

I had that issue with certain brand SSD's and with bad S-ATA cables.  If you are using hard drives, I would look at the hard drive cable.  Is the OS you are using compatible with the BIOS?  Does the error appear before you load any games into the drive with just a fresh OS install?

Thanks for reply, I have tried different ssd's I can load a few games on machine and it will work fine as soon as I load more games on machine it gives me that error. I have a second G20 and have swapped parts from one working machine to the other and get same error I even put the brain box from the problem machine to the working machine and error followed so I think it's the cpu that's the problem. I can load as many games as I want on the machine with the 3.0M cpu but not the one with the 3.0 625 cpu with same OS and boot chips so I think I'll be looking for another 3.0 brain box.

Thanks, Dale

Try swapping the ram sticks.  It's the only other thing I can think of.

Did that already plus hard drive and cable I can load games on machine just fine it's just when it's booting that it gives me "storage authentication failed system will retry in 10 seconds". I appreciate all your help.

Thanks, Dale

Seems if I load just a couple of games at a time and then activate after it boots it up fine if I load a lot of files at once it errors out. On my other machine I can load as many games at one time as I like but so far so good. I love this platform we're hardly playing our other games now the 3D games are awesome we're glad we picked these up.

Thanks, Dale

Do you not load the games from the e-key menu?  Loading the games by booting machine with e-key and loader is the old way and you really should not be doing it that way.

with the 14b3004 boots you should be going to game setup and manage packages to install the games. It is safer that way. If there is a problem with the game, most of the time it won't even show up to install it on the list. Play around with that menu and load games that way. It is much easier.

Thank You Tommy I had to load games the old way because I was getting the meters error so I'll give that a try and see if it clears up my problem.
Great machines tho.

Thanks, Dale

Also on a side note, if you have a diagnostic and the original os loader and game loaders, If you wipe the drive, reinstall OS at the start up like you were installing games, then set up the the os fresh, that option will already be disabled. Then you can load your games through the game management menu.

Thanks for the tips on this thread. I am also new to AVP and saw this option in the OS but was doing it the old way. Fantastic Rick and Morspeed
