Thanks, but I figured it out.

Ended up being the Backplane. I swapped in another one and it works as advertised now.

What a pain it was to put this machine together. It wasn't originally a Vision, so a lot of components were added. Plus, it's a tall box game. It looks pretty cool, just wish it was a better theme than the Double Diamond Run.

Appreciate the help and suggestions.

IGT S2000 and Vision Games / Upgrade from 501 board to 504?

Is there any reason I should upgrade a 501 board to a 504 ?  It is running triple triple diamond.  I did notice the payout is on the board. Does that change with upgrading?

I found an d post with a similar issue on an S+.
First, there is a sound on/sound off option in setup. Not sure on plain S but it might be for each function ( wheel spin, credit, wheel stop, credits, etc).
However, that persons problem turned out to be a speaker that failed. You might want to connect something to verify the speaker does work. Then look up audio settings and make sure they are activated.

There are a few S experts here, maybe one of them can jump in.
