I know I have not been active lately but I needed to post this.
During my absents I needed to take care of a few things and some other obligations. Some of this was work related, some family and when it was over I was blessed with new opportunities at work and in my personal life, but I missed the friends here. During this process I started phase II of down sizing my hobby and clearing out some of the past while making room for the new. I re-connected with some old friends in the business and met a few new ones along the way. I just wanted to say how nice it is to see all the old folks again and how amazed I am as to how tight nit this group of people are in the gaming industry. As most of you know in my professional life I work as a firefighter and these folks are
know for sticking together and being a second family when one is needed.
I never expected to see this type of relationships outside the fire service but I have to say all you South East Coast guys know how to make a person feel welcomed. Today I was searching for some information and one of my local guys (from here) really came through for me. The wealth of knowledge and kindness is second to none. He refused to take payment for his deeds and is a true mentor. Joey, the donation I made today is on his behalf. So to all those who don't mind sharing knowledge and opening up on your years of experiences
For those that might not know, in the gaming industry everyone knows everyone and the old fashioned word and a handshake still does exist, and with that if you screw somebody your name will be mud in this business.
