Put some dark tape over that Game Prom chip glass or you'll ruin it.
Eproms with the glass are sensitive to light...in fact, light is what erases them!

It's definitely an S+ MPU board with a 3 reel, 5 coin multiplier reel chips but I've never seen it before...especially not with a video display of that size in the topbox.

I'm going to guess that there's a Comm board on the back wall in the cabinet?
That would communicate between the topbox and the MPU below.

What's up there in the topbox? A computer unit similar to a Barcrest?
The button deck has an extra row of buttons too...very unusual!
It must be a rat's nest under that button deck! haha
Almost like a poker game set up there.

I'm in the northeastern U.S.A. so I'd say that's definitely an IGT/European model collaboration made in the early to mid 90's.
How did you find that?
Have you turned the power on?

Because there isn't a  blue potentiometer dial on the MPU, I would say that's a 16MHz MPU circuit board and the volume is in the settings.
If you turn the power on, press the little white button near the power switch box (might even be behind that box) in the cabinet, you should be able to get into the volume settings in the sound options.

There were a number of S+ games that had bonus video rounds. If you read the PARs and PSRs closely there are triggers in there to activate the bonus games.
The bonus games used separate boards and then wrote back to the credit meter on a win/loss.
I am pretty sure they are managed like a progressive in that they don't change the actual payback %% of the main game. A 95% payback chip remains a 95% payback.

In reality a bonus game that gives you xx credits has changed the over all hold of the machine.

I have never see these in the wild except for the barcrests and I have never seen a button deck like that at all.
If you can't afford to lose you can't afford to win.

Pick and Pop is a clone of Flip Flop.  Instead of the frog jumping the lily pads, you popped baloons.  Made by AC Coin, and probably uses the same chips as Flip Flop, but the top box graphics are different, so it will use something different for the top box logic.

That appears to be on the order of the S+ FLip Flop I got recently. 5 line nickel machine, but you can play up to 5 nickels per line..it is an AC coin conversion..  Here is a link to some posts on the Flip Flop...http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=29711.msg156462#msg156462

Cool!  :cool_thumb_up:

Now we know from the PSR that the [45] and [0007] codes Ryan is seeing on the display are respectively, the Game Type and the Game Version chip.

The zero [ 0 ] I'm not sure what that would be,  but the [11574] could very well be the reel paytable eprom chip.

Ryan, is there a Date Of Manufacturing metal plate riveted to the side of the cabinet?

As I recall there were 3 games ( pick and pop, flip flop and Sea Quest ???).. all had the same type of bonus .. flop flop ... pick lily pads, pick and pop ... pop balloons,  sew quest ... pick items from ocean floor...  on all games , you keep picking, hopping, or popping on the touch screen until you get one that ends the bonus.... flip flop has 3 different bonuses.. pretty cool machines... they weigh a ton... very top heavy.

Yeah...there should a 2-pin connector at the end of it.

But before dissconnecting, see if you have a can of compressed air and blow out the gunk in the cooling fins too.

Also check and see if any harnesses are rubbing up against it.it's not a very strong fan really.

That little computer  fan cools the microprocessor up in there and there's a lot of heat in that topbox.

I think it comes off with 4 small Philips screws.

Google the numbers on the front of it and you should find a similar one on ebay or something easily.

Maybe you have an old desktop computer you're not using?

You might have the exact fan laying around gathering dust?

The numbers should give you the voltage and amperage of it...maybe even the CPM ( Air the fins of the fan can move)

Measure it too if you decide to buy a new one....have to get the same depth, width fan so you have no problems re-installing it.

If there's no label, then you can turn on the machine and stick the ends of a multimeter in there and measuring the vdc or vac voltage it's putting out of the connector on the circuit board I suppose.
just don't run it more than a couple of minutes without a fan though...you don't want to overheat anything.

good luck!

You might want to take the fan out and clean it. It will be disgusting . Use a decent spray cleaner and a rag; with q tips to ward the end of the project. Perhaps spray some wd40 on the baring.. if it still sounds bad, just buy a new one..

When you pull it to clean it on the backside should be the manufacturer's name and a part or model number along with the power requirements.  If cleaning doesn't help you can probably find a replacement from Mouser, Digikey, Jameco or one of the other large electronic parts distributors.
