Hmm? :Scratch-Head: Fuses for an S+ are supposed to be 6A, 8A, 6A :Professor:
Something else shorted that resistor out like that. :burningresistor:

Check  :sherlock: for coins /screws/ bolts, or nuts in the power supply box since there wasn't any under the backplane board?

R3 is a current limiting resistor for the Denomination light.  Did you change it to a LED?  Some LEDs have been known to cause a short across the lamp holder and would cause the resistor to  :burningresistor: .  If it still has an incandescent lamp in it check the wiring to it and make sure it didn't get damaged somewhere and short to the cabinet and like bunker said loose hardware or coins in/on/under the motherboard.  If the resistor has completely burned itself open then the machine should work except for the denomination lamp.  If it hasn't and there's still a short somewhere it will  :burningresistor: more till it does.  It's a 3.9ohm 1/2W resistor if you want to replace it.

That sucks, but at least you know what caused it now and no permanent damage.  Here's a post from the old site that explains the issue, it was in a S2000 thread, but applies to the S+ too.  RIP Blueridgeslots.
