Dollar bill acceptor won't accept bills
« on: December 02, 2020, 07:57:26 AM »
Just did the set 15 procedure, the bill validator was already enabled as 9-1, I set it to .25 anyway, powered the machine down, swapped those 2 chips back, powered back on & did the 61-1 procedure & closed the door. The bill acceptor is still not cycling & the insert Bill's bezel is still flashing. So probably the bill acceptor power supply could be bad?

Im having the same problem, no bills in, bezel is not lighting up
My bezel flashes when dip switch 8 is turned on  (maybe in test)
newbie here, saw the dip switch setting in a forum to test BV head
Im not sure if my BV is enabled (waiting on my clear, and set15 chips i ordered)

Welcome to the site.

  :NLG_WELCOME:

I split your reply to a previous post into a new topic for your machine.  For us to best help you, please provide as much information as you can about your machine and what it exactly is or isn't doing.  Also, slot machines have multiple DIP switch banks -- please be specific as to where the DIP switch you flipped was (is it on the processor board of the machine?  is it on the bill validator?).

Based on what you've posted it sounds like you have an IGT S+ machine.  The SET chip is certainly the first thing to try to see if your bill validator is enabled.  If it isn't, it won't try to accept bills.

As one of our long-time members Stayouttadabunker wisely says, "the more you can tell us, the more we can tell you."
