Hello, I have finally received my clear chip for the my 1994 igtplus machine and ran this and it finally cleared the 61 error loop. However, this has now highlighted further issues such as a 41 error indicating reel 1 and so I've played around with the wiring and then this cleared and is not stuck at a 3100 error.

I have bypassed the door sensors (I believe!?) and have attached photos of what I have done.

Please could anyone give advice of clearing this error and also check I have bypassed the door correctly? :Please_Post_Pictures_2:  I am really hoping to get this machine working for Christmas but it sure is testing me.

also I have found this connection undone (see photo 3) and have no idea of what it should have been connected to just beneath the reels and so any help to that would be much appreciated!!

Thank you, Joe. :thank_you:

In the 2nd picture, you have just shoved 115Volts AC into a door optic....good way to get electrocuted.

Thanks for the reply. I do not have a door optics? the only thing that was left where the two wires loose in the machine and the guy that sold me this said just to connect them up from the door to the cabinet and this would class as bypassing the door optics... I tested the cables with a multimeter and they where around 9v I believe?

I'm a newbie and so any help is great.

First of all...turn off the machine's power switch.

The wires in the 3rd picture are for a power supply for a bill validator.
You don't need that right now because it has NOTHING to do with a door bypass.

We are here to help you get your machine running the way it should be without you getting hurt.

The wires that you are going to use to bypass the door optics are:

Door Emitter Optic: Purple wire w/Black stripe and a Green wire.
Cabinet Receiver Optic: Doubled-Green Wires w/Light Blue Stripes and a Red wire.

Basically, the green wires go together off of an extension from the door Emitter connector to a cherry switch's' normally open terminal.
The cabinet's receiver wires also go to this cherry switch on the other normally open terminal.
When the door is closed and the plunger is pushed in on the cherry switch, the circuit is closed thereby effectively fooling the machine that the door optics are seeing each other.
If anything is backwards, you blow out an the optic chip driver on the MPU -  rendering it useless and destroying it.
That forces you into dishing out more Benjamins from your wallet to buy a new MPU board.

I strongly suggest that you go buy new optics in the link I gave you below from Ken....tell him I sent you...>>>

You really should fix the door optics, you need to open and then close the door to clear the 3100 error (paid out one coin too many).
