IGT S+ 61 error

Hello I have an IGT S + machine and unfortunately the 61 er error that I just can't get away, I've already tried to press the test button for a long time but unfortunately nothing happens, what else I can do, I've already removed the battery then a 12 km He's an error and when I put it back in again, the 61 has any ideas or tips? thanks

Your caught in what is known as the dreaded 61 loop.
It most often happens after a battery change, and in particular after a battery has gone dead for a period of time.

You need to use a clear chip.
Loads of threads on this if you search the site.

If you don't have a SET chip - I would get both a Clear and SET at the same time.
usually the cost of shipping exceeds the cost of the chips as that is why I suggest getting both.

You will need the SET chip to reactivate the bill validator.

If you check out Ricks FAQs - Home page, bottom right, he outlines how to use a SET chip and the Clear is basically run the same way.

The OP said nothing about a 61 loop.  He said he's at 61 and nothing happens when he presses the button.

Good Observation Kevin - I would still drop in a Clear chip and give that a shot ... but your right 61, becomes 61-1, then 61 and 61-1 and back again. It doesn't just stand on 61.

Any other thoughts ?

Trace the wire from the tiny button to behind the BV. I have seen them unplugged before. Just to be sure, you are pushing the tiny button half inch from the power switch? It may be behind the switch also. If you are pushing a large button it is wrong
