Bally Alpha 2 V32 Pinout
« on: November 08, 2019, 07:09:53 AM »
Hi, All

I recently acquired some Bally video slot machines. I believe it's an Alpha 2 V32 video slot machine, no reels, just a 32" screen running the game "China Street". I'm trying to find a pinout for the hopper on J14 so I can set up a hopper fooler. Apparently since I'm new here, I can't browse the downloads section. I appreciate any help!

If you want to have the machine ignore the hopper, then you have to clear the machine with a clear card and reboot, set the game back up and in the DEVICE menu you can disable the hopper.  Simple as that.
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....

Thank for the reply but, I'm not really trying to get it to ignore the hopper. I need to get a pulse signal for the payouts. I'm hoping to use a pulse to the hopper for a ticket system. Normally, I would use the signal from a hard meter for the payouts, but even after changing jurisdiction chips, I can't change the meters to give me a total out. So I'm trying to work around that.

A "redemption" slot machine (It dispenses tickets like at Dave and Busters) - ??? .  Interesting.  I've seen them on 8-Liners, but not Slots. The 8-Liners had some aftermarket (looked like hand-made/bread board) board wired into the harness.  Unfortunately, I don't have any info on them. That was years ago....  But see photo for your J14 pin out.

Hope this helps!

If your wanting a pulse system for the hopper to do like ticket redemption ( like arcade games). RKS Really Killer Systems has a hopper fooler for Bally. Takes the info from the hopper and sends out a pulse signal.

@onetech We're actually using the hopper pulse collector from RKS (We use a lot of their products) but it wasnt working because it wasn't pinned correctly, hence why I needed the pinout.

@FireballJackpot Thank you! That's exactly what I needed.

@davisc, That's great. Jim and Tony are great. I have used their products for many years. Little fact, I was the one that worked with Jim to get that Hopper Fooler developed for a project I was working on. Glad it is still useful for other people.
