I am planning on changing dashpot switch.  Appears to have been "adjusted/bent" a lot over time. 

Found switch on pinball site.  Being Bally, were sizes and states pretty much the same between pinball & slots.

I never used a pin part in my slot but I understand that MANY parts including switches and coils were interchangeable.   I would give it a shot.

^+1  haphazard bending of blades can really mess them up.  I also haven't needed to replace any but, the stacks in my look a LOT like those in my EM pinball machines.

My go to pinball part site (pbresouce) sells replacement blades, contacts, paper and separators to rebuild any stack as needed.  There are also, switch cleaners, files and adjuster tools.  That would be my go-to if I needed switch parts or coils/sleeves!

for home use the dashpot switch is worse than useless.  Bend or solder that sucker closed, it will cause you naugh but grief.   IMVHO

I was given that same advice from the tech at LA Slots when the Dashpot gave me fits in a game that I bought from them 11 years ago.  I did jump the switch closed and never had another problem from that source at least.


Based upon my personal experience I second your advice.
