2004 Game King - price range?

What price range are these machines selling for? (non-refurbished, but in nice, clean, working condition)  Seller says it "just needs a new battery", so I can't tell which games are on it.

Depends if it is 044 or 3902?  It makes a difference in the price for sure.  Ask for a picture of the mpu board with the software clearly seen so you can tell what it is you are dealing with.

Game king 6.0 044 platform.  Somewhere between $800 and $1,000 (CRT based since it looks like it does not have an LCD) for a fully functioning machine is fair.  The battery is an easy fix, if that is all that is wrong with it.  Otherwise and MPU board can run you $100 to $200 depending on availability and geographical region.  It would be nice to see a screen shot to tell if the crt monitor has good color, burn-in, no image distortion, etc.

And well worth it in my opinion, but it is something he would need to get after he buys the cabinet since the seller looks to be just a guy selling his machine and probably does not have an lcd upgrade option.

I picked up the machine, threw in a new battery and she plays!  Has about 34 games. I'll try and get some pics of the 4 different screens so you can see the games.

The fan above the monitor is really loud. Best replacement?

They use 14 volt DC fans.  Only a specific size will fit, I think they are the 80mm types.  There's a fan that cools the MPU which, most of the times, is in bad shape in these older cabinets, I suggest you check on it to make sure it's working.

OK, I see a few 80mm case fans on Newegg that have an operating voltage of 6-14 volts.  Like this one:

Where is the MPU fan located?  On the backplane behind the MPU or on the MPU itself?

If you look at the cage where the mpu slides in, just look to see where the round hole is.  In my 17" cabinet it is to the left side of the cage.  It is a little 20x20mm fan.

Yeah, that fan would be super quiet, but with that voltage spec, the motor would burn up quickly.
