Bally Pro Slot 6000 Error 91FF

Hi Guys, After much research and reading I am still having trouble with my New York 3 reel Bally 6000. Several months ago the battery went out, and I soldered a new one into place. After performing a full safe ram clear with the clear chips I reinstalled the mains and had a error 83F. Spoke with one of the supporters on the site and they suggested new mains. New Mains arrived and I have tried several times to do a safe ram clear and each time now after I set the date and time and press CHANGE it immediately says 91FF in the win paid window. I may be looking in the wrong direction trying to troubleshoot the problem. I will say before the battery went bad the machine worked flawless.

91 is a comm error. Is there a secondary game in this machine? If so you must set 02 in the 11d menu to either 0004 or 0005, what ever works on your machine.

No secondary game at all. I cant get to the 11d window because after I save the date and time and press change the 91FF appears instantly in the win paid window.

Have you checked the voltage of your new battery?

91 usually means the MPU is looking to communicate with the progressive unit, is your machine a progressive ?

I don't think its a progressive. Its in my home and may or may not have been. Is there a dip switch or someway of turning it off , if it is a progressive? Like I said its a standalone single maching. Came out of the Crystal in the Bahamas.

There are some jumpers on the MPU board but if it worked fine before you replaced the battery it is most likely a setup issue in the 11d menu. Check your settings 02,07 & 06 in the 11d set-up menu and yes a a picture of your machine would help.

sound to me he doesn't know how to get to the 11d menu.


I'm sure the original mains were fine unless he put them back reversed.



1) power machine up
2) when 91ff appears press and release the test button 10 times on the front on the mpu board until 11d appears in the win paid
3) scroll through the menu with the BETMAX button
4) make changes if needed with the SPIN button
5) when done push reset button or close door and let the machine cycle.

Sorry for the delay guys. I tried pressing the test button 10 times after 91.FF appeared after startup. No success. Tried several restarts and I did notice it will flash 51, then 81, then 91.FF. Thought I would do another safe ram clear and after doing this so many times being so careful with the chips I messed up. I put the U43 in upside down. Its been along day. Let me order another set of clear chips and we will revisit. Damit!

Well guys my machine is back up and working great! Big shout out to AZ Slots for the new built in safe ram chips and a new coin compariator. I did nothing different so I would assume I had a (new) bad set of mains that I had purchased off ebay. Anyways Randy at AZ Slots got me fixed up.
