Total Noob with questions! Point me in right direction?!
« on: October 18, 2018, 06:08:54 PM »

10/18/2018

Hello all, I'm new here and totally new to slots.  I hit vegas several times a year and enjoy video poker and the new fun interactive games like Aristocrats Walking dead on the Arc Double and such.  I have a game room and want to put some machines in it.  So I have begun to learn about slots/game machines.  To my surprise there's really very limited info out there! Almost like a secret society. Google sent me to your site and I happily signed up as a contributing member if that helps me find what I'm looking for!

First off, after some google research I know I would love to find IGT's video poker games Ultimate X Poker, SuperTimes Play and Hot Roll Poker.  Preferably on one machine if that's at all possible.

Second, as mentioned above, the Aristocrat's Arc Double games are ridiculously fun.  Are those even available for home use?  I have the room, but maybe not the budget as I imagine they aren't cheap!  Haven't seen anything about them for sale anywhere on the web.

Where do I go from here?  The IGT poker games mentioned above are top priority.  Would love to find them all on one machine like the G20 model or the slant model.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.  **oh yeah, I'm in Texas so the laws here allow me to own any slot machine.

Your best bet would be to contact the vendors on 5he homepage. The IGT poker machines shouldn't be real hard to find, but the aristocrat games, if available will be a few to several thousand each I would think. The region you buy from can make a sometimes big difference in price. Others may pop in here, but I would say do your due diligence when buying and try to get info on the model you're interested in before purchasing

The IGT Poker games are not that difficult to find.  You basically buy a cabinet with 044 hardware on it and you buy a flash board for each type of poker game you want.  I suggest you look at the casinos and see what the name of the multi-poker game sets you want and look for them that way.  I know that Ultimate X Poker is included in the Superstars Poker board.  It also inlcudes Super Times Pay Poker, Spin Poker, Tripley Play Poker, 5 Play Poker, and 10 play poker.  Blackjack, keno and full versions of the slot game Coyote Moon and Wolf Run.  It is by far the best poker board out there.  A machine with that software runs somewhere between $1,300 to $1,700 I would say with an LCD monitor.  In Texas you should be able to find dealers all over the place with these machines.  The Hot Roll poker, I think is only avalable in the AVP platform, although I'm not entirely sure about that.

As far as the Aristocrat games are concerned, they are going to cost a LOT.  They are relatively new cabinets and the casino's are not letting them go.  They will typically replace the software on them a couple of times before the machines are sent out to auction.  So I would say at least 2 or 3 years before you see them available in the secondary market, but be prepared to pay $5K + for them when and if they become available.

I'd get an IGT  GameKing 6.0 or higher. They're fun, available, and easy to work on. And there's a lot of games to choose from.
And of course IGT S2000's are all over the place. Of course, the newer the machine, the higher the price most likely. Depends on how much you want to spend.
And yes check out our home page vendor list.

Thanks for the replies guys.  As always life throws wrenches into plans and at this moment I have to put on hold my quest for a machine to tend to other necessities.
