Question about BB1 Software
« on: December 10, 2018, 08:48:21 AM »
Hey guys! My dad has a WMS Bluebird 1 machine - currently has "Viva Mambo" installed on it, which means it has the added 'instant winner' button and the simplified generic bonus games.

I would love to get him a new game for the cabinet for Christmas (not real concerned about the glass matching). I'm good with computers so I am reasonably sure I can figure out how to do the clear and reset process from the videos online. What I am not sure about and I am hoping the vast forum knowledge can assist me with is this:

Can I use any BB1 software with this machine being that it is an 'instant winner' type cabinet with the extra button -

and

Can I disable that button if the software does not utilize it?

I'd love to have a game that doesn't use that instant winner generic bonus game, if you catch my drift :) Let me know what you all think!!

Thanks!

Simple answer is yes...

l have that same cabinet, whenever the bonus hits it scares the crap out of me. I can load any BB1 single screen/monitor game and it is good to go. I have Jackpot Party Running today. l don't need to disable the extra spin button.

For me games using SSOS operating systems [BB1 ONLY] install easier.

If you have a particular game in mind ask here and someone will let you know if it will work for you..

You will need a clear card to get started and search here or youtube for install instructions. Pretty easy to do...

Thanks Hemiroid! (Let me guess, you're also into cars? I've got a '51 Ford pickup!)

That is some extremely helpful and good news!!! I will see if I can find a list of games that go with SSOS and single screen BB1 - I saw that some of the vendors that are approved by NLG have some software for sale on ebay so I was looking there.

Thanks so much for the link! It's funny - those are some of the games I've been looking at!!

I'm actually torn between John Wayne and Dean Martin right now - I think they'd pair well with my Viva Mambo ;) Are you familiar with either?

Our whole family is into cars - we have a couple here, my brother and dad are more into 70's and modern muscle, but I'm all about the curvy 50's gals :) She reminds me of the pinup girls!! That Model A is definitely on my list of awesome cars!!!

The cars of today lack any style.  Fat fenders is where it is at.  Fin cars aren't so bad either...

John Wayne or Dean Martin?  Don't be that way Jessica, just get them both.

And I can't say that I disagree with your gaming sense, either - maybe I will go ahead and take that leap ;)

Thanks for all your help and suggestions!!

In my opinion Dean Martin is a better game then John Wayne. If your only getting one I would go for Dean Martin. Also you may want to look into Super Jackpot Party. Good luck with your choice.

It's funny you say that Erbs, my mom was looking at Super Jackpot party and requested that we get that game...

The listing for all three of those games say the following:

Quote
Includes game & OS CF
Game CF will have easy to understand label
FOR CPU-NXT 1 or 2 CPU
For williams video slot machine
This is a great theme for BB-1 or BB-2 cabinets
Supports single screen or dual wide screen cabinets and oled
All software sold as is-no returns

I am pretty sure from what I am learning that my Viva Mamba cabinet is a Bluebird 1 NXT-1 cpu cabinet. I doubt it's a wide screen, though maybe it is? Basically I am curious if this software will run on my machine or not from what this listing says... I trust you guys since you're not trying to sell me something.

Zeus II is also a very popular game, and it makes use of the extra bet button (even though you don't like it, it is very useful to have).  Super Jackpot party, as mentioned, is very pupular as well.  You might also want to look into:

Invaders from the Planet Moolah
Black Knight
Jungle Wild
