P&M Coin Greyhound Park Schematic or Board Repair Issue
« on: April 24, 2019, 12:12:29 PM »
Hello,  I have a 1985 P&M Coin Laser Disc Dog Race that has issues with the main board. Some of the displays in the odds board are out and I'm having issues with  finding a schematic. I contacted the main office in Reno and they said they threw everything away including the schematics over 20 years ago. Dynasty Games who bought out the company years ago told me today they have no p&m schematics. I knew someone years ago who worked on these, but he has passed away. Can anyone refer me to someone i can get a copy of the schematic or someone i can send this board off to have it repaired for a customer?

There are 2 different mpu types for bb1's.  One has a green board and one has a blue board.  They are relatively common button cell batteries.  I know for sure the blue ones use the common CR2032.  I believe the green ones use BR2330's will have to look at one of mine to verify.  You will need a bb1 cf clear card.  The batteries are inside the mpu box, they use 2 batteries.

Thanks for the info.  it is a blue board .  My main concern is removing the mpu box & the cable near it without causing issues. is there a video or instructions to show me how to remove the box and reinstall? Where can i find the correct bb1 cf clear card? Do they sell these online? Thanks Matthew

Then they are CR2032's you can find them in Amazon or local drug stores, they are VERY common.  You also don't have to remove the mpu.  the batteries are easily accessible.  Just open the mpu cover (if it has any) and remove and replace the batteries.  You will need to clear the machine after you replace batteries to do the setup again.
